Comment: INHO, well, this is the fastest C2D platform n mostly the final platform for C2D...it may be marginal improvement but final before quad is used on this montevina chipset and subsequently quad's own chipset that is entirely new architectural build from scratch replacing tech such as FSB etc. If you know ur not upgrading to quad, (perhaps heat issue in a laptop or unnecessary 4 cores power and the higher TDP) this is the defnitly platform to get. at least u will have the fastest dual cores tho to some ppl think this will be an obsolete tech soon but when quad heat issue in laptop is solved and for the new tech (ie quad platforms) to be stabilised with its new techs and all roughly about 2-3yrs...time to chg new laptop anyway...why be a white mice but enjoy matured platforms...so i will buy the centrino2 laptop...moreover, ive read what the quad n penryn are capable to do ,I know my need and I'm satisfied owning a penryn on a montevina surf board. so to me its not just another platform refresh. cus penryn with montevina is the fastest dual cores only superceded by quad processor so it's pretty somthing. why use quad for 247 dl when u can enjoy the 29W TDP from montevina.
