Comment: Dun rant and dun get angry. The dlls in system32 folder and also the domain name of those companies that make bandwidth throttling devices or softwares are proprietry and unique to that company. For dlls in system32, they need to register with microsoft. for unique ID in their code like the GUID, they need to trademark it. They cannot simply change. So for you folks out there who are developing SDK for opensource, simply ask your installer to detect those companies' trademarks, dlls and also their domain name and if found a black listed company, the installer will not install. That would force these companies to resort to a more expensive PAID version of SDK for the same purpose. Well the more they pay to develop their products, the expensive they will get. And even when the paid SDK providers starts to ban these companies, they would probably need to develop the SDK in house. Because Microsoft did stress to companies to open up their internet access to employees. So in the end may one bandwidth throttling equipment cost 100k and it becomes cheaper to add more bandwidth than to restrict them. So if I am the ISP which option would I choose ? Restrict or permit ? The SDKs I am talking includes those to develop the companies' websites, databases and so on. Imagine MySQL, PHP will not install into the domain that has been black listed. Next alternative is to buy a paid version like oracle or SQL which is way way ,more expensive. No need to rant, just put that banning feature into the code you develop for open source.
