Nokia Launches its new N78

Nokia has announced that its sleek Nokia N78 multimedia computer is now available. The Nokia N78 ushers in a new era in convergence by blending the benefits of mobility with music, navigation and photography to create experiences such as geotagging. Additionally, the Nokia N78 enables consumers to take full advantage of a suite of Nokia services, including the Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps and Share on Ovi – the online service that enables consumers to share their personal media.

“The slim Nokia N78 fuses features in new ways,” says Andrew Cheong, Managing Director, Nokia Malaysia. “The integrated FM transmitter allows for tunes to be played via any car stereo. At the same time, the Nokia N78 features geotagging, which merges camera functionality and A-GPS to not only share pictures but the places where they were taken. The Nokia N78 is also compatible with a multitude of internet services such as Share on Ovi, Flickr or VOX blogs that enable consumers to create content right from the palm of their hand.” 

Following in the footsteps of the popular Nokia N73, the slim and trim Nokia N78 packs a powerful range of technologies, including high-speed connectivity via WLAN and HSDPA 3.5G, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics for great image quality. When it comes to navigation, the Nokia N78 knows its way around with an integrated A-GPS. Also included is an integrated 3-month navigation license and free Nokia Maps with up to 15 million global points of interest such as bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels and more.  

In Malaysia, the Nokia N78 is expected to retail for RM1,950. With its signature sleek black surface the Nokia N78 will be available in one of two stylish colours: cocoa brown and lagoon blue.  Read on for more details.

MSI releases its N200 based graphics card

Free BHP Petrol Vouchers for XpaX customers

Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad is doing its part in helping Malaysians cope with the recent hike in petrol price by offering free BHPetrol vouchers with every reload to all Xpax customers, from now until 31 July 2008. To be eligible for the free vouchers, Xpax customers just need to reload a minimum of RM30 via e-pay only at any of the 200 BHPetrol stations nationwide. For the list of participating outlets, customers can dial *118# from their mobile phones.


Dato’ Sri Shazalli Ramly, Chief Executive Officer of Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad, kicked-off this promotion at the BHPetrol Sg Kayu Ara Service Station. Elaborating on this joint partnership with BHPetrol, Dato’ Sri Shazalli explained, “In a time where many Malaysians are frustrated with the hike in petrol price, Celcom has stepped in to ease the burden by offering free BHPetrol vouchers, especially for our Xpax customers. We hope that this promotion will in some small way provide financial relief to Malaysians, especially for motorcyclists.”
