Motorola RAZR2 V8 Review
(23 votes)

The RAZR line is the single most successful mobile model not only in Motorola’s history but the world. Comprising of the V3, V3i, V3x and various other V3 models only available in certain countries, it has sold more than 100 million worldwide. Motorola achieved what many phone makers can only dream of.

And what did Motorola do to cash in on this huge success? They did what any manufacturer would have done, release more RAZR looking phones! We have the SLVR, RIZR, KRZR and a few others all following the same design principles of the RAZR (shinny, sleek and stylish). None came close to the RAZR success and so 3 years after launch of the V3, Motorola finally unveiled its successor, the slimmer and more powerful RAZR V8 or RAZR2.

Adobe Dabbles In Interactive Video Object Manipulation, Nothing Official

Ever since I started working on Lowyat.TV, I've gone through a self-taught crash course in (ugh) Windows Movie Maker. Being one of the simplest and most straight forward pieces of video editing software available out there (don't bombard me for saying that Mac boys), it's unfortunately also very sorely lacking in features.

Right now, I'd pay anything (well, almost) to get my hands on this piece of software that's made by Dan Goldman. It isn't an official announcment from Adobe, and it "may or may not" make it into future versions of their video editing software, but it's so kick ass that it doesn't even matter.

Nokia N93i review

For those of you who saw the movies Transformers, you'd remember the scene where a Nokia phone got transformed into a miniature Transformer. Ironically enough that phone was the N93i, if there was any phone that came close to a Transformer from Nokia that would be it. The first thing you'd notice about the N93i would be its sheer size. The phone is by no means small measuring at a good 108 x 58 x 25mm. At 25 mm thick, the N93i is also one of the thickest phones I have reviewed.

Image

Now the N93i though sharing the same model prefix as the N93, is ages away from its predecessor. The N93 was a great attempt by Nokia in producing a phone with multiple functionalities; WiFi, 3G, camcorder, camera with 3X optical zoom to boot. Unfortunately with all that functionality, the N93 became a big, boxy phone. Nokia has taken the elements that made the N93i great and improved upon it in the N93i. How successful they were we'll see further on in the review.

Multimedia speakers for the PC have come a long way since the first Sound Blaster equipped the PC with the means of blasting out MIDI music and 8 bit sound bites. From micro mono tweeters to 7.1 surround systems you would think there is no way else to improve the basic multimedia speakers.

Well that’s where you’re wrong cause you see, Logitech has came up with a brilliant idea of fitting out their latest multimedia speakers with touch sensor buttons and a cool amber coloured LCD panel. Introducing the Z-10 Interactive 2.0 Speaker System. What’s so cool about a LCD on a speaker you say? Well not only does it show the Volume, Bass or Treble’s level setting , but it actually interacts with your PC via a USB cable. How? Read on.
