Sleek, petite and black; the W810i is yet another phone born from the K750i platform (and also quite possibly the last).  The K750i itself, introduced in 2005, proved to be a real best seller for Sony Ericsson, and it spawned a number of derivatives, including the first Walkman branded phone in the world - the W800i - which only served to further the popularity of the platform on the world stage.

And the platform deserves its popularity, providing users with a wonderful camera and exceptional multimedia capabilities in a relatively small form factor. The W810i is the natural evolution of this platform: a sleek answer to those who thought that the W800i had a colour scheme that was too striking (and those who thought that the K750i needed a better media player). Available only in Satin Black, with an impressive feature set that includes Quad-Band, a 2 mega pixel camera with Auto Focus, the Walkman media player, a 262k TFT screen and EDGE; making it the perfect phone for music lovers, camera aficionados and business people alike.

Included in the box are:

         1x W810i

         1x Battery (BST-37) Li-Poly 900 mAh

         1x Manual

1x  Disk with software PC Suite (with the Disk2Phone software)

1x Memory Stick Duo Pro 512 MB memory card, PC adapter

         1x USB Cable (DCU-60)

         1x Hands free/Headphones (HPM-70

         1x Charger (CST-60)

In the Da Vinci edition that I purchased, there were some extras:-

         1x Da Vinci cloth pouch

         1x Da Vinci phone strap

         1x Da Vinci Screen Protector

Now, let us see if the W810i is good enough to represent the latest evolution of the K750i/W800i platform, without embarrassing its predecessors.
