HTC today unveiled its latest flagship phone, the HTC Touch Diamond. Boosting a 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D in a super slim profile, the Touch Diamond improves where the HTC Dual and Touch left off.

"Today we mark a new era in mobile phone evolution, an era where beauty and size integrate with uncompromising innovation at broadband speeds,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp. “The HTC Touch Diamond will make browsing the Web and using web-enabled applications just as practical and easy to use as making calls."

The new Touch Diamond also features HSDPA 7.2Mbps wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi enabled, internal GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, 4GB internal storage and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Expect it to hit the market in June carrying a retail price tag of RM2,799.

Read more for the full product specifications.

I would say that the UI is pretty conflicting in the sense of usability. Yes, it does provide the user with good functions and navigational ease, but the size of the screen kinda defeats the purpose of the touch screen(which occurs in many pdas). What u guys can do is go check out the demo phone in pda shops, access the scroll bar. The scroll is too small to access with fingers and u'll often end up pressing the neighboring buttons instead. But then again, they did provide u the stylus pen(again defeats the purpose of having promoting the function of being able to use it with ur fingers).

In the end, this is subjective depending on the size and preference of the user. If u have small fingers and dont mind pressing the wrong buttons once in awhile(and the small memory size-which i think is not really important since its uncommon to exceed more then 4gb of memory usage with pc sync),go ahead and give the Touch Diamond a try.

NICE PHONE !!!

the interface and design is at top notch.
Touch Diamond got their advantages over Iphone in term of camera, UI, OS.

but i agree about the memory part ... sad >.<

anyway, the phone focused on high end users ... how can a student afford a near 3K phone. (Unless the bapa "print" petrol) :Dlaughing-smiley
