Ever since Lenovo took over IBM’s PC division, we’ve seen mostly business notebooks to come out of to market. However, Lenovo has in the last year released its stable of consumer based notebooks in the form of the Lenovo 3000 line. One of their latest releases is the Lenovo 3000 Y410 which is being billed as an entertainment notebook complete with Dolby Surround Sound. I’ve managed to get my hands on a Y410 just recently and decided to take look at how Lenovo’s consumer line fares up.

Read on for the rest of the review.

The unit I got for review came with the following specifications:

* Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300 (2.0GHz, 2MB Cache, 800 MHz FSB)

* Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset

* Intel Wireless 3945 (802.11a/g)

* 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM

* 120GB SATA HDD

* 8x DVD (+/-R double layer) drive

* 14.0" TFT LCD display at 1280x800 (WXGA) with Vibrant View

* Intel GMA X3100

* 1.3 megapixel webcam

* Bluetooth version 2.0 plus

* media card reader

* VGA out

* Mic/Headphone connectors

* IEEE-1394 (FireWire)

* Three USB 2.0 ports

*1-year carry-in warranty (Asean + China)

There are variations in the system specifications and price of the notebook will vary from specifications.
