CONCLUSION
The Tablet PC market of today has found itself a fine new entry in the TX1613au, being well balanced in size and performance. Even if it does not quite wow us with its performance, its design and practicality (it’s seriously neat to be able to use Windows with a touchscreen,) is more than sufficient for it to be recommended to all who needs a small, versatile notebook/tablet to work with.
PROS:
· The touchscreen (very cool in use)
· Good build quality
· Acceptable performance for the price (but not really
enough for gaming)
· Fast and accurate fingerprint reader
· Good value for money (I mean, Tablet capabilities +
extra battery + fingerprint reader + Vista + 2GB RAM for
less than RM3.2k? If that ain’t good value, than I don’t know what is)
· Great design
· Clear display
· Built in microphone and webcam
· Very generous hard disk (160GB)
· More than sufficient built in speakers
· Light and compact
CONS:
· The touchscreen (not sensitive enough to be
really useful)
· Glossy surfaces a fingerprint magnet (fortunately,
a cleaning cloth is included)
· Touchpad looks cool, crap to use
· Loose battery bay issue
· No included OS CDs
