It looks like prepaid phone bundles are getting more and more popular lately. Celcom is now offering selected smartphones at a discounted price, with its Internet of Xpax (IOX) prepaid pack, that comes with no contract, and free internet for an entire year.
Finally for those of you who wish to purchase a device bundle with the new affordable postpaid plan from Celcom – Celcom First Basic 38, you may now do so. The telco is offering the Samsung Galaxy V for free or the Sony Xperia E4g from as low as RM158.
Blink, and you’d have missed it. Celcom’s new excellent value-for-money postpaid plan, the First Basic 38, appears to have had its rumoured speed cap lifted for all of its subscribers, allowing them to finally enjoy LTE data speeds as opposed to a maximum 7Mbps up until just yesterday.
Celcom and Telekom Malaysia have signed an agreement that will see Celcom leasing part of TM’s network. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed to allow Celcom to increase its fibre-optic network coverage using infrastructure provided by TM Next-Gen Backhaul (TMNGB) services, while also providing a robust backhaul network for its LTE network.

Remember the new internet plans from Celcom Xpax that offers non-stop browsing? The plans are now more attractive because Celcom is allowing subscribers to carry forward unused data quota as many times as you want.
Celcom is the first telco in Malaysia to announce its preorder for the brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. The telco is offering the devices from as low as RM1,088 and RM1,488 respectively, and will be available for preorder starting tomorrow, 3 April 2015.

The BlackBerry Classic has just been launched in Malaysia, available exclusively from Celcom. As the name suggests, this device has elements of the BlackBerry Bold 9900’s design, which will surely bring back some nostalgia for BlackBerry fans everywhere.
