Malaysian consumers may not have a lot to cheer about these days, as the onset of GST in less than two days painting a gloomy picture for all of us. However, there is something to be happy about, and it’s from an unlikely source: the “necessary evils” that are our local telcos.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 has been in Malaysia for a while now, but if you wish to get it with a telco subsidy, you may do so with Celcom. The telco is offering the RM899 Samsung Galaxy A3 from as low as RM338.
Celcom has just added two Oppo smartphones to its device bundles, offering the high-end Oppo Find 7 from RM538, and the entry-level Oppo Neo 5 from only RM38 when you sign up for a contract with the telco.
Finally, it looks like Celcom is too offering the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G with its device bundles. Retailing at RM589, the telco is offering it from as low as RM88 when you sign up for a contract with them.
The BlackBerry Classic has just been launched in Malaysia, available exclusively from Celcom. As the name suggests, this device has elements of the BlackBerry Bold 9900’s design, which will surely bring back some nostalgia for BlackBerry fans everywhere.
Celcom has just opened its registration of interest of the upcoming BlackBerry Classic and if you register with them, you’ll stand a chance to get a complimentary BlackBerry Classic or an Urbanear headset worth RM280.

You don’t need thousands of Ringgit just to own a new smartphone, Celcom is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style with its postpaid plan, allowing you to own this mid-range Android smartphone with LTE on board, from as low as RM0.
Earlier this week, Celcom has unveiled the latest incarnation of its youth-oriented Xpax prepaid service which the telco called as the Internet of Xpax. In general, the main attractions of the LTE-enabled prepaid pack are free data connection, games and calls on daily basis.
