D6502 vs Z1 1

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact may have only been unveiled in CES 2014 and is still on its way to Malaysia but it looks like Sony already has a refresh of the original Z1 on its way, called the Xperia Sirius D650. The Xperia Sirius, which many calls the Xperia Z2, has been making several appearances on the internet lately and the latest set of images shows how it looks like compared to the Xperia Z1.

According to the rumors, the D6503 will feature a slightly larger display measuring at 5.2” with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. Beneath the display is a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset that supports 4k video playback, and is accompanied with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with Android 4.4.2 out of the box. From the images we can indeed see a slightly larger dimension. With a similar looking design, the ports have also been shifted and the front-facing speakers have also been relocated to the top and bottom of the phone.

All the other rumors include some screenshot leaks that unveils some hardware specs like a 20.7MP rear camera accompanied by a 2.1MP shooter at the front, a 4.86” display size that excludes the measurement of the virtual buttons so if you include them in, you will receive a size of about 5.2”, and although it runs on Android 4.3 according to the version number 17.0.A.0.228, rumors says that these screenshots have been captured since early November 2013 hence an outdated firmware; the D6503 will ship with Android KitKat on board.
