You don’t have to pay a premium price to own an Android tablet from a reputable manufacturer, Asus just announced its MeMo Pad, a 7” 1024 x 600 tablet that runs on Android Jelly Bean with 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. Powered by a VIA WM8950 1GHz processor with a Mali-400 GPU, MeMo Pad comes packed with 1GB of RAM, a 1MP front-facing camera, and all the basic features you find on a tablet, all for a retail price of USD149.
Available in three colors – Sugar White, Titanium Gray and Cherry Pink – the MeMo Pad is a tablet-only product so unlike Asus’ Transformer range of tablets, it does not have a keyboard dock. MeMo Pad comes preinstalled with a suite of applications from Asus, including 5GB of online storage space on Asus WebStorage.
Hit the break for the press release.
