As we counting the days to the arrival of CES 2013 in the first week of January 2013, more and more CES-related updates have started to come to our attention. This particular one is regarding Huawei and what interesting about it is that the update comes directly from within the company – through its Senior Vice President, Richard Yu’s own blog.
Richard has confirmed that Huawei will be showcasing two new smartphones at the annual tech show: the Windows Phone 8-based Ascend W1 and Android-based Ascend D2. These devices are not relatively new to us though as the Ascend W1’s name have been around for quite some time while the Ascend D2 has been showcased in China back in October.
According to GSMArena’s listing, Huawei Ascend W1 is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 system-on-chip processor that will be joined by 512MB of RAM and 4GB worth of internal storage that can be further expanded via microSD slot that supports card with storage of up to 32GB. It is also equipped with 4-inch display, 5-megapixels rear camera and 2000mAh battery.
On another hand, the Huawei Ascend D2 will be featuring a humongous 5-inch full 1080p display and a brand new user interface called Emotion UI. Equipped with Huawei’s own quad-core 1.5GHz K3V2 processor, the device will also feature 13-megapixels rear camera, 1.3-megapixels front-facing camera and 3000mAh battery.
Well, expect to see more information about these devices once CES 2013 takes place next month.
