The family is growing, they said. Nokia can say that again indeed as the company today has unveiled a brand new Windows Phone 8 device under its Lumia family – the Nokia Lumia 620.
As indicated by its model number, the new Nokia Lumia 620 is positioned as an affordable Windows Phone 8 device alongside its older brother – the mid-range Lumia 820 and the high-end Lumia 920. Spotting a 3.8-inch ClearBlack display with a resolution of 800×480, the device is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor that is paired with 512MB of RAM and 8GB worth of internal storage.
It also supports micro SD card of up to 64GB together and also features Near Field Communication (NFC) capability. Furthermore, the new Nokia Lumia 620 is also equipped with a 5-megapixels main camera and a VGA front-facing camera. In terms of battery life, Nokia claims that the device is able to last up to 14.6 hours of talk time in GSM mode and 330 hours of standby time through its 1,300mAh battery. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support wireless charging as per Lumia 820 and 920.

The new Nokia Lumia 620 will come in several colorways that were conceived through a technique that the company dubbed as “dual-shot”. The technique involved the usage of a secondary layer – can either be colored, transparent or translucent – on top of a base layer in order to create color blends and depth effects. Seven exchangeable shells will be made available at the device’s launch.
Scheduled to be out in January 2013 with a price tag of RM 758 (USD 249), the device will be first released in Asia and then followed by Europe together with Middle East. To learn more, head on to Nokia’s official website.

We have yet to experience the HTC 8S, hence we can’t tell you which one is better but at least on paper, they are comparable.
